Background
Pacific Gateway Center Staff |
Pacific Gateway Center's (PGC) mission is "to empower Hawaii's low-income residents, immigrants, and refugees to achieve self-sufficiency through skill-building and access to opportunities while respecting cultural heritages." Many of our small business and economic development clients have minimal capabilities in marketing their products due to language limitations, cultural differences, limited access to capital, and various other issues.
The "Gifts From Paradise" website provides a great opportunity and powerful vehicle for our entrepreneurs to market their products by providing virtual shelf space. Connecting these clients and their products to local, national, and international market communities via the internet is a significant step in the development of their businesses.
For more information about Pacific Gateway Center and its wide range of support services for immigrants, refugees, and low-income Hawaii residents, visit www.pacificgatewaycenter.org.
